Cotton

The cotton bales initialy are categorized to quality groups according to the HVI classification and each category is stored separately. New categorization can be curried out according to the particular specifications (colour, micronaire etc), required by our customers.

THRAKIKA EKKOKISTIRIA is the only company in Greece, that produces not only conventional cotton, but also various other types, such as:.

• Organic cotton: Certification is provided by internationally recognized bureau.
• Long Staple: Israeli variety "HAZERA" with 33 mm length
• Hand-picked cotton: Reflectance Rd > 80 and CG 21
• Fibermax: Fibermax varieties are gathered, ginned and stored separately

Also every year certain new varieties are gathered, ginned and stored separately, in an effort to produce cotton of higher quality.

Apart from HVI and AFIS THRAKIKA EKKOKISTIRIA also measures MDTA. Here appears the difference of our ginning process from other ginning mills.
