January 26 2012 U.S. EXPORT SALES FOR WEEKENDING 1/19/2012 
Cotton: Net Upland sales were zero as increases for Turkey (17,200 RB), China (12,700 RB), Mexico (7,300 RB), Indonesia (3,400 RB, including 300 RB switched from Japan), and Taiwan (2,800 RB), were offset by decreases for Thailand (21,300 RB), Bangladesh (15,200 RB), Colombia (6,800 RB), and Peru (1,800 RB). Net sales of 31,100 RB for delivery in 2012/2013 marketing year were reported for Thailand (19,800 RB), Colombia (8,800 RB), and Indonesia (2,500 RB). Exports for own account were reported for China (4,000 RB). Options exercised to export the commodity from other than the United States were for Pakistan (800 RB). Exports of 199,700 RB were down 15 percent from the previous week, but up 9 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (105,700 RB), Turkey (34,500 RB), Mexico (10,500 RB), and South Korea (5,000 RB). Net American Pima sales of 49,500 RB--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for China (46,600 RB) and Pakistan (3,400 RB). Decreases were reported for India (2,100 RB), Japan (400 RB), and unknown destinations (400 RB). Net sales of 4,300 RB for delivery in 2012/2013 marketing year were reported for China. Exports of 18,100 RB were reported mainly to China (11,000 RB), Peru (2,000 RB), and India (1,700 RB).
